The SNUBA® Guide Endorsement Program is divided into three parts: textbook self-study, SNUBA® Guide skills orientation and lecture sessions with a SNUBA® Program Coordinator, and on-site and in-water practical application of all SNUBA® training skills and techniques.
This course is designed to familiarize you with the SNUBA® brand and system, SNUBA® Presentations and briefing techniques, dive physics and physiology review, tour management and problem solving techniques,underwater navigation marine habitat awareness, assist and rescue techniques and equipment maintenance and repair. Once you have completed the Knowledge Review portion of each chapter, you will practice skills in the classroom and then in the water.
SNUBA® guides take visitors on an underwater guided tour. SNUBA® is a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving where guests are able to dive down to about 20 feet while breathing through a regulator that is connected to a tank floating on the surface. Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver Certification, EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months Expected Duration: Done in conjunction with other certifications. Content: Consist of SNUBA® e-learning as well as completing ten snuba dives.
